Vijay Deverakonda's Arjun Reddy, which released in 2017, went on to become a blockbuster hit and a trendsetter in the industry. This movie, directed by Sandeep Vanga and produced by the Bhadrakali Pictures banner, had Shalini Pandey as the female lead and Radhan's music for the soundtracks. A heart-touching romantic drama, Arjun Reddy showcased the story of a young love being split due to caste reasons and how the hero goes about his life unable to cope up with this separation.
Chiyaan Vikram's son was selected to play the lead in the Tamil version of Arjun Reddy's remake, marking it as his debut acting venture in Kollywood. This movie, originally titled Varmaa, was directed by ace director Bala and produced by E4 Entertainment, was made on a first copy basis by Bala and was expected to be released for the Valentine's Day weekend. However, when Bala submitted the first copy to the producers, they were totally disappointed with it and took drastic actions, immediately.
E4 Entertainment decided to re-shoot the entire movie and changed the complete cast and crew but retained Dhruv alone. Director Sandeep Vanga's assistant Gireesaaya has now been chosen to helm this remake and Bollywood star Banita Sandhu has been cast as the female lead. Now, we hear that the makers are even planning to change the title itself. There was some deliberation between Adit Varma and Adithya Varma and the makers have now decided upon ADITHYA VARMA. This was revealed in an announcement on Twitter by the makers.
Let's see when the film will hit the screens.
