Director Mysskin’s next film would be Psycho starring Udhay Stalin, Aditi Rao Hydari and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. This film has music by Ilayaraja, with PC Sreeram in charge of the camera. When the announcement on this film came out, film buffs were surprised about the Mysskin - Udhay combination and felt that it was like chalk and cheese coming together. In a recent interview to promote his upcoming release Kanne Kalaimaane, Udhay had some recently interesting information to share about his equation with Mysskin over the years.
“Mysskin sir is a dear friend to me and takes all his liberties with me. I was supposed to make my film debut with him, in Yudham Sei, and even shot for a couple of days. But the project didn’t materialise and it was later done with Cheran sir. I had to choose between Yuddham Sei and OK OK, and I chose the latter as I wanted my film debut to be breezy and entertaining. Mysskin sir still tells me that my career would have gone on a totally different path had I done Yudham Sei," said Udhay.
He further added, "Coming to Psycho, Mysskin shoots just about 7 to 8 shots a day. He takes so much time to fix his shot and does it with a lot of commitment. He had also narrated a subject on aliens but we decided to go ahead with Psycho. We are nearing the end of its shooting process. It has been a great experience working with him, and getting to associate with Raja sir and PC sir.”Read More
