Superstar Mahesh Babu is busy completing the shooting process of his 25th film Maharshi, directed by Vamshi Paidipally. The film is set for release on April 25th, amid massive expectations. As we had reported earlier, Mahesh is expected to associate with F2 director Anil Ravipudi for his 26th film. Last year, it was said that Mahesh would work with Rangasthalam director Sukumar (their reunion after the critically acclaimed 1:Nenokkadine) for producers Mythri Movie Makers, as his 26th film.
The producers have been reeling under the pressure of back to back flops after Rangasthalam in the form of Savyasaachi and Amar Akbar Antony. They were hoping to bounce back to winning ways with 'Mahesh 26’ but the status of this project looks uncertain now after the buzz about the Mahesh - Anil Ravipudi film has been growing in strength.
Tollywood circles are also gossiping that Mahesh wasn’t very happy with the script that Sukumar had narrated to him, and had asked him to rework and revert to him. So will this Sukumar film be the star’s 27th film, assuming that he goes ahead and signs the Anil Ravipudi film as his 26th? The Superstar is also apparently in talks with many other leading directors and producers for films in the next couple of years, thereby adding on to the uncertainty over this Sukumar - Mythri Movie Makers project. But we hope things get firmed up eventually and the ‘1’ team reunites; let's see how this unfolds. Read More
