Varmaa’s controversy is truly the talk of the town in Kollywood, with many important people in the industry having a say about it - calling it one of the most puzzling incidents in the history of Tamil cinema. The shocking announcement came on Thursday evening when the production house declared that the film would be dropped because they are unhappy with the output. The entire film will be reshot once again with Dhruv Vikram as the hero, while there will be major changes to the rest of the cast and crew.
Sources say that the production house made their decisions so quickly that they didn’t even inform the two heroines, Megha Chowdhury and Raiza Wilson, about their move. Megha is said to have read the news on social media, only to call up the director and the producer herself to confirm the news.
While there have been many speculations for the reason behind the incident, Kollywood birdies state that the changes that director Bala made to the original script of Arjun Reddy have not gone down well with the makers. Dhruv’s father, Chiyaan Vikram, had intervened in the issue to sort out the differences, but all seems to have gone in vain. The production house will be coming up with an official announcement on the new cast and crew, with shoot to go on floors again in March 2019.
