Arjun Reddy star Vijay Deverakonda has become a huge sensation not just in Telugu cinema, but across the country. His performance in that movie was raved about and it is even being remade in a number of languages. His fan base in Tamil Nadu is huge and it went up with his last Tamil - Telugu bilingual NOTA, despite the movie not faring too well at the box office.
We now hear that director Lingusamy has approached Vijay Deverakonda to work together on a trilingual project. Some time back, it was reported that Lingusamy was to direct a bilingual with Allu Arjun as the lead, for KE Gnanavelraja's Studio Green banner. However, the project did not materialize and it has lead us to wonder if Vijay Deverakonda is replacing Allu Arjun in the same project or if this is a different script.
Lingusamy's last Tamil release Sandakozhi 2 did not set the cash registers ringing but its Telugu dubbed version Pandem Kodi 2, received a good response from the audiences. It was also rumoured that he was actually planning to make a biopic on the late former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha. There seems to be a lot of competition to make this biopic, as recently director Gautham Menon was reported to be making a webseries on her. There are also reports that directors AL Vijay and Priyadarshini are also looking at making biopics on Jayalalitha. Stay tuned for further reports.Read More
