Director Dharani Dharan, who made his directorial debut with Burma in 2014, has subsequently made two more films. His second film was Jackson Durai with Sibiraj and third film was Raja Ranguski with Metro Shirish. Burma elicited some kind of critical acclaim but didn't do much at the box office. Also, Dharani Dharan’s second and third films too, did not create much of an impact at the box office. Now, for his fourth film he has joined hands once again with Sibiraj, who was the hero of his second film.
Our sources aver that Dharani Dharan will be working with Sibiraj in an upcoming project, to be produced by Auraa Cinemas. A source from the production house said, “Dharani Dharan will be directing Sibiraj for the second time after Jackson Durai and this flick will be bankrolled by our banner - Auraa Cinemas”. Auraa Cinemas has predominantly distributed films that include Nayanthara’s Dora, Jai’s Balloon, Vijay Antony’s Saithan and Kreshna’s Pandigai, in the recent past. They are also into production and recently flagged off their third production venture, featuring GV Prakash and Raiza Wilson in the lead.
Meanwhile, Sibiraj's last feature film releases were in 2017 - Kattappaava Kaanom and Sathya. He did not have any releases in 2018 but is currently working on Ranga, directed by Vinod and Maayon directed by debutant Kishore. With Dharani Dharan’s project also in hand, one might see three releases for Sibiraj this year.
