Actor-director Rob Lowe found himself under heavy criticism after he mocked Elizabeth Warren. The incident happened after she announced her claim for the presidential campaign. Looking at the negative response to his tweet, Rob decided to delete the tweet but the damage had already been done. Rob tried to take Elizabeth’s case for her past claims of Native American ancestry but didn’t guess what was coming his way.
Rob took to Twitter and joked that the senator's candidacy would give new meaning to the title "Commander in Chief". His tweet read as "Elizabeth Warren would bring a whole new meaning to Commander in 'Chief'”. Though the actor decided to delete his tweet after he was mercilessly trolled, here's a screenshot of the same.
Rob later also issued a clarification that he deleted his tweet related to Elizabeth Warren and it was just a joke. He also stated that whatever he said was meant in a good spirit and never wanted to hurt anyone’s sentiment.
Rob’s tweet came hours after President Trump made a similar remark on Twitter that appeared to reference the 1833-1850 Trail of Tears and forced the relocation of thousands of Native Americans.
