Sandalwood audiences are gearing up for a Kannada film on cyber-crime that will showcase the dark alleys of the digital world. The film, titled Gultoo, stars Naveen Shankar, Sonu Gowda and Rangayana Raghu in pivotal roles. Directed by Janardhan Chikkanna, Gultoo visits the line of popular Netflix drama Black Mirror and unveils how the digital world can dangerously affect lives.
The makers of Gultoo released the trailer on Wednesday evening and the two-minute promotional video confirmed that it is not going to be a regular, commercial film. The story is said to be about two young entrepreneurs who end up in an investigative crime. While actor Naveen Shankar essays the central character in Gultoo, Sonu Gowda is seen donning a key role in the film. The trailer leaves the audience asking for more and has received over one lakh views on Facebook in less than 24 hours.The cinematography of the movie by Shanti Sagar looks impressive which becomes increasingly intriguing with the aid of Amit Anand’s background score. Naveen Shankar, who had a successful career in Kannada television, marks his debut in feature films with Gultoo. The actor has been an active artist in theatre and television since 2010. Sonu Gowda, who has several hits in her kitty, will be starting 2018 with this interesting flick. She is already a popular actor in Kannada and Tamil films.
