Shatrughan Sinha Adds To Yashwant Sinha-Arun Jaitley Discourse
Actor turned politician Shatrughan Sinha has now joined in the Yashwant Sinha- Arun Jaitley fiasco. In a series of tweets, he has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come out and speak to the people.
These series of reactions come after Arun Jaitley responded to Yashwant Sinha’s scathing article regarding the finance ministry and the state of the Indian economy. In the article, BJP leader and former union minister Yashwant Sinha blamed Jaitley for the present economic condition of the country. He said that the GDP growth rate of 5.7% could be actually 3.7% or less. In an attempt to back Sinha's claims, P Chidambaram also tweeted a response.
Jaitley too hit back at him (without taking his name) at a book release function in New Delhi. In which he claimed that neither did he have the luxury of being the former finance minister, nor did he have the luxury of being a finance minister turned columnist. Towards the end of his speech, he took his final jibe at Yashwant Sinha, saying,“Probably, a more appropriate title for the book would have been ‘India @70, Modi @3.5 and a job applicant @ 80"
With Shatrughan Sinha now joining the debate, will his tweets urge the Prime Minister to make a statement on this scathing issue?
