Sonakhshi Sinha is riding the success tide with Ittefaq winning hearts at the box office and of critics as well. As the 1969 spin-off gives us the chills, Sinha confirmed her third stint with Dabangg’s third franchise. Speculations were high if she would be part of the third run of the successful franchise, but she laid all rumours to rest.
“Dabangg 3 is happening next year, and I am definitely in it,” said Sonakshi in an interview to Bollywoodlife.
The actress ascertained that she will be in the film no matter the screen time granted to her. This comes after Salman Khan hinted two female leads in the upcoming film.
“If there is Rajjo in the story, it will be played by me, irrespective of the length of the role. No one else will play Rajjo, even if it means me being a photo on the wall. Dabangg made me who I am today. I’m always there for that franchise. I am grateful to him for showing me the path and whatever I am today is because of Dabangg and because of the faith he showed in me.”
Little has been shared regarding the plotline of the film as the film is reportedly still in the scripting stages. Arbaaz Khan had spoken to Bollywoodlife sometime back and he said, “I have already started working on the script of Dabangg 3 and hopefully by the middle of the next year, we are going to start shooting.”
While Rajjo is sure to be back on screen, Munni played by Malaika Arora remains an uncertain character. Arbaaz added, “Why would she be a Munni, we can cast her for something different, but for that, we have to finalize something.”This time Arbaaz Khan will be taking the backseat and will only be producing the film instead of directing as confirmed by Salman Khan himself in a Pikvilla report, "He gets very hyper so we asked him to chill and take rest. He will produce the film this time.”
