Comics being adapted on screen is common when it comes to the Marvel and DC universe. But for other non-superhero comics, screen adaptations have remained relatively low. This is why when Tintin got adapted on screen, fans of the young detective went overboard. As the film received box office success, fans could not wait for his other adventures to be adapted on screen. But that hope dimmed away since The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’s release in 2011.
™ Dalam sebuah wawancara sutradara Steven Spielberg mengungkapkan sebuah fakta tentang film terbarunya Ready Player One Spielberg menyatakan, film yg akan tayang dua hari lagi dibioskop² 🇮🇩 merupakan salah satu film tersulit dan penuh tantangan yg pernah dia buat, tingkat kesulitannya sama seperti ketika Spielberg membuat Jaws dan Saving Private Ryan Kemudian Spielberg juga menyampaikan, tentang kelanjutan petualangan Tintin dilayar bioskop, Spielberg menunjuk nama Peter Jackson sebagai nakhoda untuk kelanjutan petualangan Tintin Spielberg menambahkan, kemungkinan film ini akan digarap awal tahun depan, sedangkan Spielberg sendiri akan duduk dibangku Produser (Movie Pages) #MovieNews #BeritaFilm #StevenSpielberg #ReadyPlayerOne #Jaws #SavingPrivateRyan #AdventureofTintin #PeterJackson #TinTin #Movie_Pages
However, hope seems to have been rekindled for Tintin fans by director of the first film Steven Spielberg. “Peter Jackson has to do the second part. Normally, if all goes well, he will soon start working on the script. As it takes two years of animation work on the film, for you, I would not expect to see it for about three years. But Peter will stick to it. Tintin is not dead!” Spielberg said in an interview with French magazine Premiere.
This statement has rejoiced Tintin fans who have forever held hopes of the famous reporter coming back on screen with his side kick dog Snowy. Tintin comics was first created by cartoonist Georges Remi (Herge) in 1929. It follows the life of Tintin, his friends Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus and professional detective duo Thompson and Thompson.
While there is no assurance of when the film might hit screens, it is safe to say that it will be a long wait. For the time being, we can only say Blistering Barnacles to the creators for the long wait.
