B-Town bold lady Swara Bhasker and dashing hunk Sumeet Vyas are all set to collaborate for the upcoming second season of their next, ‘It’s Not That Simple’. The show will see Swara playing the role of Meera- ‘confident, under-control with her priorities straight as she becomes the mouthpiece of a modern woman who compels you to ask – does the sex really matter?’. We got you an exclusive interview of the two actors who got candid about facing barriers in their day-to-day real life!
When the Veere Di Wedding actor was questioned about the difficult choices she had to take her in her career, she replied saying, “The choice to move to Bombay and to leave my parents from Delhi and come to a city where I didn’t know anyone, in the industry where I didn’t know anyone was a difficult choice. But, I had the passion that I wanted to become an actor that it became easy. It’s also hard to decide whether or not to do a role, sometimes that’s a difficult choice.”
Talking about the tagline about her show - ‘Does The Sex Matter’, she went on to speak about the on-going #MeToo movement and said, “I think that sex does matter. Women now have become more vocal and are standing up for themselves. #MeToo is the greatest example of that. Women are finally breaking the silence and telling their own stories.”
Talking about his experience about working with Swara, Sumeet said, “I was scared that she’s going to steal the limelight,” and laughed. Helmed by Danish Aslam, the show also stars Purab Kohli and will go on air in Voot from December 14.
