Popular television actor Karanvir Bohra was last seen in the 12th season of one of the most loved reality shows – Bigg Boss and even went on to be one of the finalists of the show. During his stint on the show, the actor often made it to the news because of his antics. Even as the actor's life has returned to normal outside the BB house, he has found himself in a rather unfortunate situation. On Wednesday, Karanvir Bohra jetted off to Moscow to attend a film festival where he was supposed to be a chief guest. However, things didn’t go as planned.
In a shocking turn of events, Karanvir has been detained in Moscow due to a damaged passport. The actor took to his Twitter account and shared the ordeal with the world. He wrote of how the authorities were thinking of deporting him back to India because of his damaged passport. A source told IANS that his damage didn’t receive any attention at the Indian airport, “Hence after Karanvir reached Moscow, it was noticed by the Russian immigration officials. While Karanvir has been at the airport for the last four hours, we hear that the Russian embassy, the Indian embassy and a lot of other people are working towards getting the issue sorted and having Karanvir enter the country and attend the festival he was originally there for."
The actor also complained that he should have been informed about the same during the issuance of the visa. Karanvir’s plight has been noticed by the Indian Embassy in Moscow as they were quick to respond. The team assured him that they are trying their best and working on this issue. Apart from Karanvir’s wife, many of his colleagues from the entertainment industry spoke in favour of the actor and hoped for the issue to be resolved on an immediate basis.
