It’s that day of the week when your favourite chat show, Koffee With Karan is back with another exciting episode. The latest episode saw one of the most popular celebrity-sibling duo who came together on the national TV. It’s the Bachchan duo, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan Nanda, with the latter making her debut on the Koffee couch. From getting candid about relationships and families to talking about professional life, the show saw the two opening up like never before. Here are the highlights of the show!
Jaya Bachchan's close bond with Abhishek
At the beginning of the episode, the two speak about their bonding with their parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Shweta talks about how Abhishek shares a close bond with his mom and that the latter is just like her character in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, someone who senses her son even before his arrival. She recalled Jaya's words, “Today he will come home and he is going to be like this, mark my words”, and added that it actually happened. Abhishek also barges into the conversation and shares that Shweta, on the other hand, is Big B’s favourite. “Even if God also comes down, if Shwet di is there it’s all over! Nothing else matters to him.”

Abhishek on what it feels to stand behind a bigger star
“It is heartbreaking to any actor who has been centre stage to be shadowed by another actor in the lead. The industry is a brutal place. I don’t think anyone is entitled to say that I am who I am so I deserve this. No, you have to earn it. Moving from centre to left is heartbreaking but you have to use that hurt to inspire yourself to get back into the centre again,” quotes the actor, whose last few movies before Manmarziyaan mostly saw him as the second lead.
How Manmarziyaan got Big B into tears
With this, the Bachchan daughter makes one of the biggest revelations. “Dad and I had gone together to watch the film. He was so emotional, he couldn’t speak. I asked him if I should dial Abhishek, ‘Do you want to talk to him’ but he said ‘I can’t talk to him.’ He was weeping and he is not a weeper,” she said.
Then comes the most interesting segment-the rapid fire round. During this, Shweta revealed that Abhishek, in his childhood, was a thumb-licker and bed-wetter. She also shared that one thing she hates about Aishwarya is that ‘she takes forever to receive calls and tolerates her ‘time management’. Abhishek replied to same by saying that he hates ‘the way she packs’ and tolerates it too.
Laughter, sibling fights, crazy revelations and emotions were all the show was about.
