B-Town actors Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon are all set to be paired on-screen for the first time in their upcoming Luka Chuppi. Ahead of this, the duo will be making their debut on Karan Johar’s controversial chat show, Koffee With Karan. As seen in the promo, the two have more than the film in common and that is their engineering background. From talking about their careers to throwing light on nepotism and spilling the beans on their link-ups, the two will be seen getting into intriguing discussions and having loads of fun. Here's listing some of the highlights from today's episode.
Kartik on his struggling days
“Social media has helped me out to become an actor. It was through Facebook and Google that I used to look out for auditions. Because I didn’t know anyone so I used to search for it, I used to type keywords like ‘actors required’ or ‘casting calls’ on Facebook and Google and then go from New Bombay to Bombay,” he said. He also revealed that during those days, he stayed in a rented 3 bhk, with four people staying in one room.
Kartik on dating Sara Ali Khan
The actor hints that he is interested in dating the Simmba actor, but there’s something what is stopping him. “I’m just trying to earn more and more money right now as Saif sir said, ‘you got money you can take her’. She’s a princess. To ask her out on a date, I would require a certain amount of money. I’m trying to earn money just for her. The moment my bank balance is there, I’ll ask her out.”

At one segment, KJo also asks Kriti if the reports of her dating Sushant were true. She replied that there’s no truth to those reports and she's been single for years.
Kriti on nepotism
“It’s a bit of a struggle when you don’t come from a film background,” she said. Karan quickly interrupted her to ask, “Do you feel that it’s easier for Sara, Janhvi, Ananya and all these girls?” “Ofcourse it is. You are recognised a lot easier. You also get opportunities even before your debut film and that doesn’t happen when you don’t come from a film background,” she replied.
Rapid fire round
Kartik when asked what is the best way to get your attention. The Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor replied, “Say good things about me on Koffee With Karan.” Well, well! Was that for Sara? *wink*
