The recent Pulwama terror attack that martyred 40 CRPF jawans sent ripples across the nation. In response to the terror, many Bollywood celebs expressed their concern and bashed the neighbouring country for harbouring terrorists. But it was cricketer turned politician, Navjot Singh Sidhu, who faced a strong backlash after he said that no particular country can be blamed for terror attacks. However, he was supported by none other than Bigg Boss 11 winner Shilpa Shinde. Post this, the Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! was trolled online and it didn't end there as she even received rape threats.
We got in touch with the actress to get some clarity and she said, "What Navjot ji said I was completely with him on that line, what he said was, he wasn't against Pakistan. He had obviously friendly relation, they played together. And we are always fond of many Pakistani cricketers, even Pakistani artists. They are working here because we are liking them. They are not begging us ki 'humey kaam do' or they don't have work and that's why they are coming here. We want to work with them and that's why they are working here. India has that thing you know 'ki humesha dosti ka haath badhana' and now whatever has happened, obviously I am not against Pak or I am not against anything. But think about it, you should think thousands times whatever you are going to take call on. Like it's not easy 'ki kal hum sarey cheezey khatam karey, war hona', it's not simple."

When further probed whether she will take any legal step following rape threats, she said, "Who are these people, who are talking like that? I really don't care about those kind of people. It's their mentality, they are sick, they don't have any work and that's why they are 24*7 on Twitter and social media. And I really don't get bothered about that."
