Ali Asgar, who is popularly known for his amazing comedy as daadi (grandmother) on The Kapil Sharma Show, recently met with an accident. While the actor escaped unhurt, he took to Twitter to thank Mumbai Police for all the help. Talking about the accident, Ali Asgar told India Forums, "My car was at the signal and suddenly a guy came in full speed and it hit me. The boot of my car got fully dabbed and I couldn't control. My car went and rammed into the truck that was standing in front of me. My bonnet also got dabbed in the process. Thanks to the police who instantly came to my rescue. I am fine now."
Going by the details of the incident, it seems like the actor could have been in grave danger. However, he is fine and is all praises for the Mumbai police. He said, "Though it’s an unfortunate incident but most of the times we don't get the opportunity to thank the police thus I had to share about it and express my gratitude. They were so warm and helpful and took care of the situation so well that I am overwhelmed."
Ali has been in the TV industry for over two decades and rose to fame with his character Kamal in Ekta Kapoor’s show Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. For the past few years, he has stayed away from regular daily soaps and has been a part of comedy shows like The Drama Company and Kanpur Wale Khuranas.
