Men In Black won hearts of its viewers with its savviness and generous doses of humour. Now as the film gets ready for a reboot, it will not strictly be sticking to its core story line of two men out to save planet Earth. Rather, it has been reported that Thor: Ragnorak co-stars, Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth have been paired for the reboot of the American special agent film.
The movie being produced by Sony has been reported by The Hollywood Reporter to be helmed by F Gary Gray. The director has films like Straight Outta Compton, The Fate of the Furious and others to his name. The screenplay is being penned by Iron Man writers Matt Holloway and Art Marcum while producers Walter F Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are adding the fuel to the project. Steven Spielberg is also present in the film as an executive producer.
The original movie which saw Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones playing Agent J and Agent K respectively already has two sequels but now the studio felt the need for a different rendition altogether. While it is not clear what will be the storyline for the reboot, it is sure to be one to be on the lookout for.
Thompson was last seen in Thor and will next be seen in the second season of HBO hit series Westworld along with the new sequel of Creed.
The film is expected to have a June 14, 2019 release.
