The much-debated Aadhaar card has found a supporter in a man from Madhya Pradesh. To make people aware of the importance of Aadhaar, he has ingeniously gotten his daughter’s wedding invites printed to look like, an Aadhaar card. Hailing from the Katni district of the state, Virendra Tiwari had earlier thought of printing the invite in the form of a calendar.
“Whatever I do in life, I try tagging a message to it for the welfare of society. Therefore, we planned a unique theme for the invites,” Virendra told News18.
An agriculturist by profession, Virendra is a native of Vilayatkalan village in Katni district. To little surprise, the idea became an instant hit as the cards became the talk of the town. The design even helped Tiwari save on paper because, usually, it takes four to five pages for an invite.
Tiwari is all for social causes. He also runs a Shadi Suvidha Kendra, an initiative that helps parents find suitable matches for their children. Through the initiative, Tiwari does not fail to spread his message of social welfare as he persuades the parents he meets to employ themes embedded with social messages for their child’s wedding invites as well.
Tiwari’s actions are not just limited to invitations. After his father passed away, he had planted hundreds of saplings during the mourning period. October 30, which is Tiwari’s birthday, is also observed by him as anti-dowry day.
Virendra Tiwari is going well beyond his duties as a citizen of the country and all his measures to enhance society are worth celebrating.
