Though no strappy casualty was reported, a store employee was pepper sprayed when he tried protecting the valuable store products.
Gold, diamond, cash and electronics are the usual picks for robbers around the world. But one pair of store thieves skipped all of that when they made a haul in a Los Angeles store. The duo instead chose to rob a Victoria Secrets store, making a haul of $11,000 in the designer lingerie shop. However, their ambitious heist was cut short by an alert police officer. Though no strappy casualty was reported, a store employee was pepper sprayed when he tried protecting the valuable store products.
The robbery was stopped by Folsom Police who later shared details of the case on social media. While the mug shots of the alleged robbers looked regular, the heist shot displaying all the bras attempted to be stolen sure made for an unusual image.
The police informed that the duo made a dash for the door after stuffing all the bras in two large bags but were spotted by a patrolling officer soon. The women were charged with robbery and conspiracy. One of them was even found in possession of a fake $100 bill during investigation. “As the women tried to make their escape, an alert officer spotted them and stopped the car. The officer found the stolen clothing, and took the women into custody," mentioned the post on Facebook.
While high security in jewelry and electronics stores is a must, now it seems like such tight protection is also required for one of the most expensive inner wear selling store in the world.
