Remember Themyscira, the home to Wonder Woman and an island in the middle of nowhere lived and ruled by women? Well, it seems someone is making it a reality. An entrepreneur from America is creating a women-only island retreat named SuperShe in Finland. Founded by Kristina Roth, the island promises to be a resort meant for only females, reported The Independent.
The island is located in Helsinki archipelago, Finland and is currently under construction with an opening date somewhere later this year. Roth, the head of this project said that the idea occurred to her as she was taking a restorative vacation in Calabasas, California and noticed the effect men had on the good vibes when women arrived. She explains her observation by saying that wherever there is a cute guy around, a woman would put on lipstick.
Another interesting fact about the island is that it will be accessible to only a community called the SuperShe. “The luxurious resort will be available to members of the SuperShe community” a networking group founded by American Kristina Roth, according to the Daily Mail.
Roth also revealed that her partner’s parents own an island and when the next-door island went up for sale, he convinced her to buy it. “It is an 8.4-acre island and will feature ten cabins with ‘spa-esque amenities’,” said reports. The idea is for women to “focus on yourself – don’t try to get your hormones up,” Roth has been quoted saying. Roth also clarifies that “there is no ‘man-hating’ behind this women-only policy.”
Interestingly, according to the Daily Mail, Roth had already bought land on Turks and Caicos with the intention of building the SuperShe retreat there when she fell in love with a Finn – and then Finland.
