Post launching a black version of the OnePlus 5T, the company launched a lava red version of the phone in China last week. And now we have a Star Wars limited edition phone.
During the announcement of the new device, OnePlus stated that the Star Wars franchise had left many awe-struck with its storytelling “from a galaxy far, far away, with the best in technology and strong engagement with their fan community.” This collaboration will help the OnePlus community “to thoroughly enjoy the legacy of both the brands.”
As far as the specifications go, it’s the same as the original version launched in India about a month back. The phone features a 6.01 inch AMOLED display with full HD+ (1080x2160) resolution and a 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset, and sports a rear facing fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock feature.
However, it is unclear if the Star Wars edition of the OnePlus 5T will come in a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage variant, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage option, or both. The new version has the Star Wars logo on the back, and the side button is a scarlet red. There also seems to be a Star Wars theme on the device as well, as the promotional picture shows a First Order Stormtrooper wallpaper.
The phone is set to launch in India on December 14th.
It comes as no surprise that a special edition OnePlus is about to launch in India. According to reports, the company has gained a huge fan base here and breaks its own records in terms of sales. During a special one-hour preview sale on Amazon, the company said the OnePlus 5T sold out within five minutes.
