Samsung has often mocked Apple fans. The latest advert by the South Korean tech giant has left us all in splits. The advert, entitled “Grow up with an upgrade to Galaxy” goes all the way back to 2007 when the first iPhone was launched and mocks the different features, or the lack of it.
Samsung criticized the iPhone 3GS by mocking its storage issues and took a dig at the iPhone 5s which had no stylus support. The video goes on to show that Samsung phones were waterproof long before Apple came up with a waterproof iPhone.
The video poke fun at all the aspects that a lot of users complained of. Even the lack of the headphone jack and wireless charging was not spared. The only iPhones to support wireless charging are the iPhone 8/8 Plus and X – that’s a long time after Samsung came up with wireless charging.
Towards the end of the video, there’s a guy in the queue outside an Apple store, with a haircut that looks eerily similar to the dreaded “notch” on the iPhone X.
Samsung likes to take digs at Apple. Apple, on its part, does not jibe at any one, even when it had the chance with Samsung’s Note 7 that had a problem with its battery.
A lot of companies poke fun at each other using creative marketing strategies. The Apple-Samsung battle is just one of them. We don’t want to spoil the fun for you, so go ahead and check it out below.
