“My biggest issue in the past was that I saw faults in my body all the time, and that made it impossible for me to love myself fully,” she told NY Mag. “Yoga helped me accept my body exactly the way it is. With my account I want to inspire people to realize that everybody is very beautiful and capable of [doing] amazing things with their bodies.”
Her Instagram followers are so inspired by her activities that they try replicating her Yoga style. The comments on her pictures show love and gratitude people have for her courage and uniqueness.
The bare-skinned yoga lover gets around the Instagram’s strict no nudity rules by hiding her intimate parts with a help of various angles, the use of shadows, and photoshop. All the photos are clicked at her home with the help of her friend. The aim is not to make them appealing on the most primitive level, but to inspire people to lead healthier and happier lives.
This brings us down to an important question. Would such Yoga nudity be welcome in India? Not hard to answer that. Probably cringe pop like Omprakash Mishra will be bugging these women with comments like “Bol Na Aunty Aaun Kya?” Yoga has originated from India, despite this fact it seems high unlikely that ‘Nude Yoga’ will be appreciated in India.
