So, amid too many trolls and a lot of body-shaming (among other forms of shaming), women on Twitter also come across some delightful stuff. The #SareeTwitter trend, for example. The micro-blogging site is lit, with women sharing beautiful pictures of themselves in sarees. After all, whatever we wear is an expression of who we are. We crawled Twitter, looking to find what celebrities from all walks are sharing.
Actor Divya Dutta, for example, posted a picture of herself wearing a red and black handloom saree, paired with a three-quarter sleeve black blouse and oxidised jewellery. She isn't the only one calling saree her most favourite attire though, there are many!
Richa Chadha shared a picture wherein she is wearing a yellow saree with red borders, and a line of ikkat motifs across the pallu. From the appearance of it, it looks like the photo was clicked while she shot for Shakeela, a biopic on a former Southern adult movie star with the same name.
Priyanka Gandhi also joined the trend, and the photograph shared by her was rather special. It was clicked on her wedding day over two decades back! Priyanka is seen clad in an orange Benarasi, with golden motifs.
Renuka Shahane, who is mostly spotted in nothing but sarees, wore a beautiful black and orange Paithani silk saree.
Gul Panag chose an elevator, out of all places, to click a saree selfie! Nevertheless, we like her blue and golden saree.
Yami Gautam, in the post shared by her, is seen sporting a broad golden bordered black silk.
Former Congress (and presently Shiv Sena) spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi shared a couple of photos in saree. Seems like Priyanka especially likes cotton and traditional prints!
Actor-turned-politician Nagma wore a bright mustard yellow saree, in a photo she shared.
