Our nation woke up to a shocking, heinous and dastardly attack by terrorists on 40 of our CRPF jawans on the 14th of February, at Pulwama in Kashmir. The bus that the soldiers were travelling in was totally blown away and the Jaish-E-Mohammad terror outfit took responsibility for this cowardly act. Following this, there were several encounters last week and in these attacks, the mastermind of the attack Ghazi Rasheed was shot dead, while there were casualties on the Indian army's side as well.
In the early hours on Tuesday, around 3.30 am (IST), Surgical strike 2 began when 12 Mirage Indian fighter jets crossed the Line of control and attacked terror camps on the other side. They further went on to drop 1000 kgs of bombs and destroyed the enemy terror camps. Though Pakistan denied any loss of life or property, their Army spokesperson said that the IAF had violated the Line of Control before returning.
This attack reiterates our Prime Minister Modi’s statement that the Indian army would answer back for the Pulwama attack.
Surgical Strike 2 has made this statement come true, as the Indian Air Force crossed the Line of Control and attacked Pakistan's Muzaffarabad and some areas in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. It has been reported that more than two camps of the Jaish-E-Mohammed were destroyed and following the arrival of the Pakistan Air Force, the Indian jets returned. It has been said that more than 200 terrorists might have been killed. This has created a tense situation in the border regions, with probable signs of outbreak of war.
Surgical Strike 2 has attracted a lot of appreciation from the film fraternity, showing solidarity with this retaliatory move of the Indian army.
