Year Ender 2018: Celebrity PDAs we couldn't get enough of

When it comes to public displays of affection, it’s not just the film stars who come to our mind. While film stars manage to keep us occupied throughout the year, the PDA moments we're going to talk about are from a different spectrum. Let's leave the Shah Rukhs and the Salmans and the Anushkas aside for a moment and have a looks at personalities that help make policies that govern the world. Even though our favourite politician, Barack Obama, didn't make it to this list, the ones that did are no less than the former president of the US who has broken the internet multiple times.

Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi

This has to top the list! It was in July when Rahul stole the limelight in parliament. He was seen striding over to PM Modi’s seat and giving the BJP party leader a hug, leaving the nation spellbound! Modi was even seen whispering a few words in Rahul’s ear and the two were all smiles.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean leader Moon Jae-in

The two nations are arch-enemies. So when their heads of state decided to meet, the world sat up and watched. Both leaders didn't just meet though, they hugged it out. Kin Jong and Moon Jae-In exchanged a warm hug as they met at the Sunan International Airport. Mr Moon was visiting North Korea for a historic meeting, one that led to the two countries establishing a path towards peace on the Korean Peninsula. History was made at this hug-a-thon.

Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump

This meeting and the famous handshake will go down in history. It dates back to June when the US President Donald Trump flew to Singapore to meet Kim Jong. During the meeting, Trump was seen repeatedly shaking Kim’s hand and touching his arm.

The two leaders were seen hugging during PM Modi’s visit to the US in June 2017. This tight hug went on to become a resource for a series of memes, mock articles and videos.

Navjot Singh Sidhu and Qamar Javed Bajwa

In the month of August, Singh visited Pakistan to attend the swearing-in of Imran Khan, during which, he was seen hugging army chief general Qamar Javed Bajwa. He soon faced a lot of criticisms for the same. He later justified the move saying that it was nothing but ‘an emotional moment’.
