After Narendra Modi and Rahul Gandhi, Nitin Gadkari will have his own biopic
With 2019 Lok Sabha elections just around the corner, the political scenario in the country is tense. As we inch closer to election day, the battle between the leading political parties in our country is also getting fiercer by the day. Making use of all the possible means of promotions, the political parties are employing all available platforms to reach the masses. And that includes films. In the last few months, we have seen films based on or related to the lives of politicians like former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray and one of the most awaited films to hit the screens will be a biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And the list goes on. Another politician whose life story we will get to see soon is Union minister Nitin Gadkari.
The trailer of the Nitin Gadkari documentary titled Gadkari is doing its rounds on social media. The 1.45-minute long trailer shows the journey of the minister as a child to him joining the Vishwa Hindu Parishad to his swayamsevak days and then to him being appointed as the chief of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP). The trailer reveals that the documentary will features bits about his personal life too. The 61-year old politician is currently heading the Ministry for Road Transport & Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation in the Government of India.
The makers have attempted to show the journey of the Nagpur-based politician and how he has made his mark in Indian politics and in the party. They have announced that the documentary will be released on YouTube and will not make it to the silver screen. Apart from this Nitin Gadkari documentary, we will soon see a film titled RaGa which is based on the life of Indian National Congress Chairperson Rahul Gandhi.
