The BJP governance in various Indian states initiating and proposing the name of the state is inviting quite colourful reactions on the internet. Needless to say, a lot of it is humour at its best. This also resulted in a series of awesome memes, featuring some of BJP's prominent politicians including Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath. And now, there's this guy who has taken the entire name-change concept a few notches higher. Meet Mohit Kamboj, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Mumbai president.
Not sure what opinion he has about his state's name, but Mohit decided to ditch his original surname and adopt 'Bharatiya' as his surname instead. "I want to be the first example of what the campaign wants to achieve. I have changed my surname to Bharatiya and this will be my identity henceforth," he was quoted by PTI. Mohit has set up Proud Bharatiya Association, which works towards encouraging people to identify themselves as Indians before anything else.

The name change was made applicable in the official gazette as well. Apart from being an active BJP youth wing worker, Mohit is also the President of Indian Bullion and Jewellery Association.
