Donald Trump accused of sexual misconduct by his former campaign worker

In a shocking series of events, the US President, Donald Trump has called for legal trouble. No, this time it’s not for his controversial statements but something worse. One of Trump’s former staffer, Alva Johnson, who worked on his presidential campaign, has filed a federal lawsuit against him. In her lawsuit, she claimed that Trump kissed her without consent, ahead of the 2016 rally in Tampa, Florida. In her federal lawsuit, Johnson revealed that Trump made the sexual advance on August 24, 2016.

Johnson said that Trump “grabbed her hand and did not let go,” he further kissed her on the corner of her mouth as she turned slightly away when she saw his lips coming towards hers. “The forced and unwanted kiss was deeply offensive to Ms Johnson,” stated the lawsuit, adding that she suffered “emotional distress, psychological trauma, humiliation, embarrassment, loss of dignity, invasion of privacy and other damages.”

Reportedly, the lawsuit also claimed that the incident took place in front of several witnesses including former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, then-State Director Karen Giorno and Regional Directors Earl Tony Ledbetter, Mitch Tyner and Nick Corvino. However, the allegations have been denied by the White House officials, after the Press Secretary Sarah Sanders labelled Johnson’s claims as “absurd on its face.” She further said, “This never happened and is directly contradicted by multiple highly credible eye witness accounts.”

Contrary to Johnson’s claims, in an interview to The Washington Post, two of the witnesses mentioned in the lawsuit, have dismissed seeing the alleged act. Meanwhile, Johnson will also be suing the President over equal pay, stating that she was paid less because of her race and gender.
