Rahul Gandhi seems to be taking the Gandhigiri route, at least his latest actions suggest so. Not very long ago, the Congress president took the entire nation by storm as he fearlessly walked up to the Prime Minister of India and his arch rival Narendra Modi during a Lok Sabha session, only to give him a hug. As if that amount of love wasn’t enough, Gandhi has now advised his Congress associates to refrain from using the ‘murdabad’ slogan against his staunch rival.
It all happened after the Congress workers shouted ‘murdabad’ after Gandhi took Narendra Modi’s name while addressing some Congressmen at a public meeting. The Congress successor, instead, asked his party workers to defeat BJP with love and affection,.“These words (murdabad) are used by the BJP/RSS people. We, in Congress, do not use these words as we believe in love and affection, which is what the Congress stands for,” asserted Gandhi. Rahul believes that Congress will defeat BJP in the upcoming elections without any kind of hatred as he said, “There has been a change in facial expressions. We have not done it with hatred. We questioned him with love. We have done it by using love. We will defeat him.” We like your confidence and optimism, Gandhi!
Taking a sarcastic jibe at Modi, Gandhi further added, “Wherever he (Modi) looks, there is Rafale, kisan, mazdor and women. Narendra Modi is now being gheraoed by all. There has been change in his face, mood and expressions. We have not done it with hatred. We have questioned him with love. We have done it by using love. We will defeat him.” LOL!
For people who have forgotten the iconic Rahul Gandhi’s jadoo ki jhappi
to Modi, during a 2018 Lok Sabha debate, the Congress President said, “I have not an iota of hatred or hard feelings against you. You hate me, I may be Pappu for you. But I love you and respect you because I am the Congress,” he then went towards Modi and hugged him. The rest is history!
