Comedian Kapil Sharma was one of the many celebrities from the industry who met PM Narendra Modi during the inauguration of National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai on Saturday. Following this meeting, the TV star put up an image of himself with Narendra Modi, expressing his delight to meet the Prime Minister. Along with his post, he shared words of appreciation for NaMo’s sense of humour. The post didn’t go unnoticed by PM Modi who was quick to reply with another tweet.
PM Modi responded to the tweet by writing that the comedian’s kind words have made him happy. "When Kapil Sharma appreciates somebody's humour, it sure makes that person happy and I am no exception," he wrote as part of his post and also attached a smiley emoticon. Besides Kapil, the Prime Minister also put up many praiseworthy posts for other members of the film fraternity, including A.R. Rahman, Asha Bhonsle and Kunal Kohli among others.
PM Modi stole the limelight during his speech at the event when he used a reference from Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike. He quoted the popular dialogue ‘How’s the Josh’ from the film, which was met with a round of applause by the gathering and amidst which, the crowd also shouted out ‘High Sir’.
