Kamal Haasan’s political party Makkal Needhi Maiam will get into its 2nd year of existence on Feb 21st, 2019. It’s been a year since the actor started his party amid much fanfare at a public meeting in Madurai. Over the past year, he has been really active as a politician, touring all over TN, meeting leaders across the country and also voicing out boldly about issues concerning the public. He has made it clear that he is against the ruling party ADMK while he has also not spoken favourably about the other big party DMK. Kamal will have a busy day with many plans to mark the 1st year of his party.
The ‘Nammavar’ will hoist the party flag at his party head office in Chennai at 7:45 in the morning. He will then visit Vellapallam, Nagapattinam districts in the afternoon and distribute fishing nets to fishermen. He will wrap the day with a grand public meet, addressing his party members and the public at Thiruvarur in the evening.
This year, Kamal is also committed to finishing the controversial Indian 2, the Shankar film which is already mired in rumors over its production uncertainty.
