Donald Trump is known to stick to his usual attire of a suit and horrible hair, but his wife Melania Trump recently opted for a pink designer dress that caught the attention of many. Melania reportedly wore a houndstooth coat made by Fendi and completed her look with fluffy (more!) pink cuffs - all that to greet the Colombian President Ivan Duque Marquez and First Lady Maria Juliana Ruiz Sandoval on February 13. The dress is estimated to cost north of $3,500.
We’re sure Melania loves her dress – why else would anyone drop $3,500 bucks on a dress – but Twitter has other ideas. A number of tweets were directed at the US First Lady and most of them were targeted at her dress, which people think resembles a bathrobe. Reports said that Melania and Sandoval discussed a global crisis on drug addiction problems among the children and young mothers. 'I will have a plan to talk to her about the crisis of opioids,' Melania was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail, while she was at a briefing with officials at the Office of National Drug Policy.
Melania’s choice of clothes has often come under criticism. One of them, in particular, attracted the wrath of thousands. On that occasion, she had worn a jacket that read ‘I Really Don’t Care’ while visiting immigrant children in Texas. The trolling prompted Trump to reply that she wore the jacket as a statement for “the people and for the left-wing media who are criticizing me.”
