The terrorist attack in Pulwama, Kashmir has left the country in shock. The ghastly attack which took place on February 14, 2019, took the lives of 46 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel. While the people of the country are in anger and have been writing their thoughts of the attack on social media, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured the nation that the culprits will be punished. PM Modi, while speaking at a rally in Yavatmal, Maharashtra added that the country needs to have patience and faith.
He said, “I know that we are all in immense pain after what happened in Pulwama, I understand your anger. Two sons from Maharashtra lost their lives in the attack, their sacrifice won’t go in vain. Terror organisations who have committed this crime, no matter how much they try to hide, they will be punished. Security forces have been given full freedom.” Referring to the neighbouring country, PM Modi stated that the country is on the verge of bankruptcy and has become synonymous with terror.
Terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed has taken responsibility for the horrific attack. The attack was carried out through a vehicle-bound suicide bomber. The attack in Pulwama surely takes us back to 2016 when the army base camp in Uri was attacked.
