As the season of love continues, let us talk about Rahul Gandhi's gesture of pure love towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi. *Winks* For those who need a quick recap, it happened during the no-confidence motion debate in the parliament last year in July. Rahul suddenly appeared before Modi to embrace him in a tight hug as the latter remained shocked. "You can abuse me, you can call me Pappu, but I don't have a speck of hatred against you. I will take out this hatred out of you and turn it into love. I am the Congress"," he said.
Needless to say, this was all over the internet, the newspapers and the TV channels for the next few days. In fact, on Hug Day, Congress pulled out the instance and sent wishes to the BJP. LOL! Rahul now says the hug actually 'finished' Modi's 'hatred' for him. “Modiji had hatred for me. I went and hugged him and finished the hatred for me,” he said while speaking at a meeting in Rajasthan.
“If the BJP and the RSS abuse us, we must fight them with love. Modiji often attacks me and my family and says he will finish the Congress. I, on the other hand, went and hugged him in Parliament,” he added.
As we say, the season of love is on!
