The Lok Sabha elections are only a few weeks away and with it comes heightened politics. The primary players of this match are undoubtedly Raga and Namo. Both Rahul Gandhi and PM Narendra Modi are known to take nasty digs at each other on a regular basis and here's another one. On Thursday, NSSO (National Sample Survey Organisation) date on unemployment released and stated that the unemployment in the year 2017-2018 is at its highest in the last 45 years. This grabbed the attention of the Congress leader and he took to Twitter to take a dig at PM Modi and BJP.
While speaking of the unemployment picture, Rahul's tweet consisted of words like ‘NoMo Jobs’ (PM Modi is fondly called NaMo), ‘Time for NoMo2Go’ and #HowsTheJobs (a dig at the dialogue from the Uri: The Surgical Strike, #HowsTheJosh). It sounded very smart, but only until the BJP decided to get back at him. The ruling party replied by saying that EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation) data has shown an increase in jobs in the last 15 months. They even went on to say that only a man can say such things was someone who didn’t have a proper job. OUCH!
The battle for the Lok Sabha is only going to get more bitter and exchanges like these will soon be more common. It will now be interesting to see if Rahul has a reply to the BJP jibe.
