From ruling the television industry to playing significant roles in Indian politics, this OG has done it all. Some people may call it hard work. Others may call it extraordinary luck. Either way, Smriti Irani has achieved a lot in her lifetime. And she celebrates her birthday on March 23. Presently, Smriti Irani serves as the Textile Minister of India. Her long, long journey began when she participated in Miss India 1998. Though she couldn’t get to the top 9, she bagged a few acting roles. The birthday girl’s most famous one by far is the role of Tulsi in Ekta Kapoor’s magnum opus (at least that’s what people say) Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi on Star Plus. For people who don’t know what the show was- it was the same show which made most of our mums and grand-mums cry way too much.
Irani joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2003. And, in the following year, she became the VP of the Maharashtra Youth Wing. The 2014 elections saw Irani contest against Rahul Gandhi in the Amethi constituency of Uttar Pradesh, which she lost by a 12.32% margin. Things worked out anyway when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister and appointed her as the Minister of Human Resource Development. Well, her life is dramatic, so in July 2016, the Ministry of HRD was taken away from her, and she was given the Ministry of Textiles.
Drama or no drama, Irani has reached tall heights. As she celebrates her birthday on the 23rd of March, it’s time to sneak-a-peek into her future:
Well, the tea is that Irani has strong Venus-Mercury conjunction in the 10th house, which is called Rajyoga. Venus is Vargottam which makes her charming and poetic in her expression, and a proficient speaker. Mars is in the 2nd house, in the sign of Mercury, which makes her an eloquent orator but at times very very aggressive while discussing matters. Ergo, some people may see her as a hypocrite or superficial.
The Lord of the 10th house is retrograde in the 3rd house which makes her ambitious and enterprising. At the same time, retrograde Saturn indicates obstacles or sudden reversal in situations. Sun is in the 11th house, which gives her social influence and contacts with influential politicians. Rahu is in the 6th house which gives her the abilities to defeat her enemies.
Irani is currently under the influence of Rahu Mahadasha and Rahu Bhukti. And, that means- this year she is bound to get success in her political career. Things will move in her favour. Literally, everything will facilitate her in accomplishing gigantic tasks.
Though she is passing through a favourable Dasha period, there will definitely be difficulties for her in the days leading to the upcoming election. Blame the transiting Saturn. She is in a tight grip of Saade Sati. This indicates a distressing and struggle-ridden time, along with some disappointments.
Besides, the forthcoming transit of Ketu in conjunction with Saturn will add more problems to her life. So, her political graph will rise, but sudden & unexpected problems can be detrimental to her growth.
But fret not, because Irani is slated to play a very important role in the election campaign. Her ability to connect to the voters will work its magic. At the same time, due to transiting Mars, she may get into controversies. And, we do love some good tea! Her presence will be super strong in the 2019 General Elections. Happy Birthday Smriti Irani.
