Uri: The Surgical Strike team meets Minister of Defence, Nirmala Sitharaman
Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike has started the year 2019 with the josh at the box office. The movie is based on the Uri attacks that took place in 2016 and the surgical strike that India did on the neighbouring country post the attacks. Recently, on the Army Day, Minister of Defence, Nirmala Sitharaman met the film's team. Actors Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam, producer Ronnie Screwvala and director Aditya Dhar. Sitharaman took to Twitter to share pictures from the meeting.
In her tweet, Sitharaman wrote that though she has not seen the film, she has heard many good things about it. She praised the team for a war movie on the spirit of army heroes. Well, Vicky and Yami also took to Twitter to thank Sitharaman and stated that it was an honour for them to meet her. While Vicky plays the role of an army officer in the film, Yami plays an intelligence officer.
Uri: The Surgical Strike in five days has collected Rs 55.25 crore. It is a super hit at the box office and has broken the norm that no films releasing in January become a hit.
