We all remember how Anushka Sharma was trolled and made fun of after the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has failed to score runs during a series. But the tables have turned and the Kohli has become a run-scoring machine. In a recent interview with his good friend Gaurav Kapoor on this show Breakfast with Champions, the Indian cricket team captain himself credits the Bollywood actress for turning around his fortunes on and off the field.
"Sir Lady Luck ka kamal hai. Gaurav, you've seen me, you know I had no brains before. Ever since the lady has come into my life, she's taught me a lot of things." During his tour to England in 2014, Kohli was going through the worst phase of his cricketing career. Recalling the moments, the Indian captain said that he is grateful that Anushka stood by his side in the good and the bad times. I've learned a lot, become more sensible in the last 4 years, all because of her. She's taught me how to be more patient and taught me how to utilize the position you are into the fullest," Kohli told Gaurav in a two-part candid chat.
Kohli and Anushka have been in news since for not making any efforts to hide their relationship. Speaking on the issue, Virat said that one of the biggest reasons for that was Zaheer Khan. "A very big reason behind me not hiding my relationship is Mr. Zaheer Khan. Luckily he was one of the first guys I spoke to about this and he said whatever you do don't try to hide it because you'll stress yourself. And on top of that, you're in a relationship, you're not doing anything wrong. I'm actually very grateful that my first interaction about this was with Zak. And he told me the right thing to do so I've followed it ever since" the 28-year-old said.Skipper Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been dating for 2013. Kohli is the wonder boy of the cricket world and Anushka is one of the finest actresses that Bollywood has today. And together, they make one of the most powerful couples in the country.
