The controversy surrounding cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul has been going on for a long time. Both players have been axed from the ongoing tour of Australia and also the tour of New Zealand. The duo has been since sent back home. According to reports, it seems now that after his sexist comments on women, Hardik has eaten humble pie. Hardik’s father Himanshu told Mid-Day that his son refuses to leave the house and does not even attend phone calls following the suspension imposed on them by the BCCI.
"He watched the match (India vs Australia 2nd ODI). Ever since he has returned from Australia, he has not stepped out of the house. He is also not taking any calls... he is just taking rest," said Hardik's father to Mid-Day. Reports mentioned that Hardik, like many Gujaratis, celebrates Makar Sankranti by flying kites. However, given recent events, Hardik hasn’t been flying kites though he’s at home after a long time.

"He is very disappointed with the suspension and repents the views he expressed on the TV show. He is committed not to repeat the same mistake," said Himanshu to the publication, adding that the family has decided to not talk about the issue to Hardik and that they are awaiting BCCI’s decision. The BCCI chief Rahul Johri reportedly spoke to Rahul and Hardik and they are supposed to submit a report to the Committee of Administrators.
