Virat Kohli is unquestionably one of the best cricketers of the Indian cricket team. In the past, he has broken many records and, recently, in the second ODI against Australia that is being played in Ranchi, Kohli once again broke a record. The cricketer brought up his 41st One-Day International hundred and fans in the stadium could not keep calm. After the glorious addition, the super captain raised his bat towards the fans as well as a dressing room to flaunt the fact that he is reaching heights with each passing day. Well, this the fastest to 4,000 runs as a captain. Despite Kohli's amazing attempt, the Men in Blue lost the match.
But even though India lost to Australia, the match wasn't without any highlight, thanks to Virat Kohli. MS Dhoni orchestrated a spectacular run out in front of his home crowd. That was followed by the visitors putting up a mammoth 313 runs, courtesy of some impressive batting displays from Aaron Finch and Usman Khawaja. Set to chase 314, India started off poorly, losing their openers in a jiffy. It was up to Virat Kohli to steady the ship. Like a true leader, he showed the way, clobbering fours and sixes to score a defiant century - though for a losing cause. A true hero indeed!
It is thanks to Kohli that in Friday's match the team could score a decent number even after not winning the game. It will now be interesting to see what happens in the matches lined up ahead!
