Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s troubles are far from over as the two cricketers, along with filmmaker and talk-show host Karan Johar, have a case registered against them. According to a tweet from ANI, the sexist comments made by the cricketers invited the case against them. The tweet further added that the case against the trio has been filed in Jodhpur. Pandya and Rahul were at the receiving end of severe criticism for comments they made on Koffee with Karan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India had suspended the cricketers after the incident.
Following the debacle, Pandya issued an apology online and was required to explain himself to the Committee of Administrators. Pandya and Rahul returned to the game after their suspensions were called off on January 24, pending the appointment of an ombudsman. Since then, Pandya shone on his return to the Indian team, picking up 4 wickets and scoring 61 runs against New Zealand. Rahul returned to play for India A against England Lions.
Since the controversy, Karan Johar opened up saying that he feels responsible and that the incident has reached a stage where he cannot control. “I have to say that I feel very responsible because it was my show, it was my platform. I invited them as guests and so the ramifications and repercussion of the show are my responsibility,” Karan told ET Now.
