Prithvi Shaw assures fans: Aapna time aayega
Prithvi Shaw may be sidelined but he's sure that 'aapna time ayega.'
We were all expecting to see the young Prithvi Shaw come out guns blazing in the tour of Australia, perhaps even New Zealand. Unfortunately for the young cricketer, he suffered an ankle injury during a practice match in Australia, ruling him out of the series. The teenager is still recovering from the injury but at the same time, he’s craving to get back into action. A social media post shared by Shaw had him making up a short poem with the trending phrase ‘aapna time aayega.’
Shaw shared his fitness update on Twitter, adding that he’ll score more runs after getting back to 100 per cent fitness. It was initially reported that Shaw would play in the Australia tour, but the injury turned out to be more severe than expected and he’s yet to play a game since the West Indies tour of India. Shaw recently told the media that he’ll be fit for the 2019 edition of the Indian Premier League.
Shaw’s debut series against West Indies saw the batsman scoring the century on his first match. The second Test saw him score another ton. His efforts earned him the Man of the series award. The aggressive former India U-19 captain, unfortunately, couldn’t find a spot in India A squad against England Lions either, thanks to his injury. As of now, he’ll be looking forward to playing for Delhi Capitals in the IPL that starts on March 23.Read More
