The journey has ended and the big day is here.In what has been a thrilling 22 days of world football in India, Spain and England have made it to the finals of the FIFA U-17 world cup 2017 to be held in Kolkata on 28th October. Interestingly, it would be the first ever all-European football final in the U-17 world cup. Moreover, it will also be a rematch of this year's European U17 championship in which Spain triumphed on penalties.
Spain, on the other hand, faced defeat in their first game. But there no stopping for the finalists since then. Any doubts over their ability were laid to rest when they gave Niger a 4-0 hiding. Their attacking pedigree was further proven when they recorded a 2-0 over North Korea. They prevailed on penalties against France, feared to be the biggest upcoming rivals. Captain Abel Ruiz, performed well throughout the tournament and led his team with a brace which resulted in a 3-1 victory for Spain in the much-earned semi-finals.
