Cricketer Jasprit Bumrah is trending and no he his antics with the cricket ball have nothing to do with it. The bowler is in news for a doppelgänger instead. And while other cricketers have had lookalikes before what makes this one special is the fact that he owns a Pakistani passport.
The picture, however, isn’t new. It was clicked in September during the t20 series between Pakistan and the World XI at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium during the Independence Cup.
And while we are discussing this Pakistani fan and Bumrah connection it’s only natural for us to look at other famous lookalikes for our men in blue.Sachin Tendulkar – Balvir Chand
Balvir Chand is four years older than the Master Blaster and lives in Ludhiana. Before Sachin became Sachin, Chand bounced around various jobs. Once Sachin became a brand, Chand was often used as a double in several advertisements for Tendulkar. However, post Sachin’s retirement, job security for Chand became an issue and he now works as an event manager.
Virender Sehwag – Jeevan Sharma
Jeevan Sharma doesn’t tweet like his more popular look-alike but he does have the support of an NGO and plans to get into politics.
Cheteshwar pujari – Joel Parkinson
The swashbuckling batman has found his look-alike in Australian surfer and elite World Title winner Joel Parkinson. Parkinson won eleven elite ASP tour victories.
Ishant Sharma – Yossi Benayoun
India’s pacer looks a lot like the Israeli footballer who used to play for Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham (loan) and QPR. Unfortunately he spent most of his EPL career playing on loan.
Virat Kohli - Ahmed Shehzad
India captain Virat Kohli too has a look alike and he’s from archrival Pakistan cricket team. Ahmed Shehzad is a right handed opener who made his debut in 2009 against Australia.
