Pakistan hockey match meant danger signs for the men in blue. Not anymore. The Indian hockey team beat Pakistan 3-1 to grab their third straight win at the Asia Cup in Bangladesh on Sunday taking them to the top of Pool A. Chinglensana Singh, Ramandeep Singh, and Harmanpreet Singh scored for India while Ali Shan was the lone scorer for the Green Giants.
This was also the Indian team’s fifth consecutive win against Pakistan who despite the result, entered the top four along with India from Pool A. From Pool B, South Korea and Malaysia are in the semi-finals.
Coached by Sjoerd Marijne, India have so far been in top form in their pool with easy victories over Japan (5-1) and hosts Bangladesh (7-0). They will now be looking to extend their excellent form with their forwards in very good touch.

Pakistan on the other hand, dropped two points after Japan held them to a 2-2 draw recently. The record world champions had earlier beaten Bangladesh 7-0.
Pakistan is no minnows but India has learned to calm its nerves before they play their rivals. At the Hockey World League Semi-Final in London, India first thrashed Pakistan 7-1 in the pool stage and then followed that performance up with a 6-1 win in the classification match.
