Team India had a brilliant start to the Test series against the Australians as they won the Adelaide match. The match swung in favour of both the teams at various time over the last five days and it was unpredictable till the last Aussie batsman got out and the Men in Blue won the match by 31 runs. While the #3 batsman was the hero of the match with his brilliant knock in both the innings of the match, it was coach Ravi Shastri who took away the lime light with his post-match interview on national television.
This is the first time India have won the opening Test match of a series in Australia since first touring the country in 1947-48. After the team’s victory, Shastri was being interviewed by the expert panel on the official broadcaster’s channel and the coach was all praise for the team’s efforts in winning the match. But no one expected what happened next, and that too on national television, after Sunil Gavaskar reminded Shastri of the hashtag that runs with the channel's promo, which is #ChhodnaMat.
While we would love to detail what Shastri just said on national television, we will refrain (Something we hope even Ravi Shastri did). Here are few tweets that will help you understand it better.
It won’t be wrong to say that the coach and the captain share much in common. #Justsaying
