India vs New Zealand: Mahendra Singh Dhoni doesn’t want to be on Chahal’s show?
Team India had an amazing outing in the recently concluded ODI series where the team emerged winners with the final score being 4-1. Players like Mohammed Shami, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal played an important role in achieving the rare feat. Post his on-field exploits, Team India’s newest spin sensation, Chahal is doing well the field as well with Chahal TV. The show has become a hit among the players and fans post the Australian tour but it looks like Mahendra Singh Dhoni has no intentions of making an appearance on the bowler's show.
In the post-match celebration video after the fifth ODI which the Men in Blue won by 35 runs, we can see Yuzvendra Chahal trying to catch the veteran player as others are seen celebrating the victory. Chahal did try to run after MSD but didn't manage to match his speed and in the end, we can see MSD waving to the bowler. Looking at MSD’s reaction, one can surely say that he isn’t a big fan of interviews and is not very keen on getting featured on the Chahal’s chat show.
Despite not getting MSD, Chahal found luck with stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma where the spinner urged him to promote him up the batting order. But Rohit had the savage reply to Chahal’s request and it will leave you in splits.
Speaking of Yuzvendra Chahal, the 28-year-old had a brilliant outing in the series as he went on to take 9 wickets in the five match one-day international series. Chahal bowled with an amazing average of 24.33 and an economy rate of 5.34. The series also helped Chahal break into the top 5 positions in the rankings and is currently on the 5th spot.
