After much speculation, the transfer is now sealed on paper. Arsenal’s midfielder Aaron Ramsey will shift bases and move to Juventus this summer for a free transfer. Ramsey’s contract with Arsenal is set to expire in June this year and following that, he’ll move over to the Italian club. While the transfer itself is free, the 28-year-old will, of course, receive a hefty salary from his new club. Reports said that Ramsey signed a four-year contract with Juventus which will have him bagging £400,000 a week, a huge bump from his current salary of £110,000 per week.
According to reports, the salary-hike takes Ramsey up into the list of the top-10 highest paid footballers in the world. The amount obviously, is before any tax deductions. A breakdown of his earnings was shared by the Evening Standard. Ramsey will now be making £54,142 a day – which itself is a big deal. His earnings per hour come to £2,380 and every minute of his time at Turin will get him £39.6. For every second, Ramsey’s bank account will be richer by 66p.
Moving on to his monthly wages, the total comes to £1.6 million every 30 days! That translates to £20.8 million per year. Let’s remind you that Ramsey’s signed a four-year contract so, at the end of it, he’ll have earned £83.2 million! Phew. That’s money I never dreamed of!
